PEMBROKE, N.H. — A three-alarm fire broke out on Perley Avenue in Pembroke, N.H. on Saturday afternoon, according to a local fire official. The incident forced firefighters to battle the flames for nearly three hours.
The blaze began at 3:20 in the afternoon at the rear of the house at 376 Perley Ave. The two-story colonial sustained heavy damage from the fire, which spread to the main portion of the house. Officials described the residence as a near total loss.

Three firefighters were transported to the hospital for heat exhaustion.
