TYNGSBOROUGH, Mass. — It was a bright sunny Wednesday at Tyngsboro's Parlee Farms, as visitors were busy picking peaches.
"Every single crop that we've grown has looked beautiful. And that's continuing through the fall,” said Ellen Parlee, owner of Parlee Farms.
Wildflower and peach picking are already underway, and it's not long until apple picking season will be here.
The 2016 apple crop was a big bust for farmers across the state.
"Last year was a challenge for us,” said Mark Parlee, owner of Parlee Farms.
Parlee has been growing since the age of 12 and last year was one of the worst. Chilly temperatures took out much of the peach crop, then the drought did not help the apple crop.
At Parlee Farms they're hoping for a bumper crop of customers this year.
