Cell phone video showed the chaos unfolding on the highway Saturday. It ended with a Massachusetts State Police trooper shooting one of the riders.

One of the suspects, Aderito Monteiro, of Randolph, was seen limping during his arraignment Monday as he entered a not guilty plea.

It’s under investigation if the injury resulted from a bullet fragment or some other cause. State police confirmed one suspect was shot in the foot while being placed under arrest.

Police say seven people were arrested while more than 20 were able to get away.
