BOSTON — One student has been taken to the hospital after being stabbed at a school in Roslindale Thursday morning.
Boston Schools tells Boston 25 News that a fight broke out between two students inside a bathroom at Washington Irving Middle School in Roslindale Thursday morning. One student was stabbed in the fight and was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A robocall sent out to parents stated the alleged stabber was arrested soon after outside of the school, but Boston Police have not yet confirmed that.
School officials say this is an isolated incident and the school is currently in "safe mode."
Crisis counselors were called to the school to help any students who wanted to talk about the incident. School officials say there will also be an increased police presence.
