Pit bull recovering after surgery to remove item from stomach

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — An emaciated pit bull found in Framingham is recovering after surgery.

Animal Control was called after the dog, which appears to have been living as a stray, was found Monday.

Veterinarians had to remove an item that had been blocking the dog’s intestine Tuesday and are are hoping the dog will be able to recover.
