Stow Police Chief charged with enticing a minor

STOW, Mass. — Stow Police Chief Ralph Marino is on indefinite administrative leave pending a State Police investigation.

Marino has been charged with enticing a child under 16, according to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.

Sources with knowledge of the investigation told Boston 25 News that Chief Marino allegedly arranged and showed up for a meeting with a person who he thought was a minor. The reason for that meeting is currently unclear.

State Police met with Chief Marino on Saturday at the Stow Police Department. There, following the meeting, Chief Marino placed himself on administrative leave.

He is scheduled to be arraigned May 22 in Leominster District Court.
