Stoughton first responders using new pediatric EMS bags

STOUGHTON, Mass. — First responders in Stoughton are now better equipped to help children in an emergency.

Stoughton Fire’s ambulances now have Handtevy Pediatric EMS bags onboard.

Each removable compartment contains the appropriate equipment to deal with medical emergencies within the specific age ranges. Each paramedic also now has access to a smartphone app specifically designed for the new equipment.

“This will help make for more efficient delivery of Emergency Medical Services to our pediatric population,” according to Stoughton Firefighters Local 1512.

Stoughton is one of the first fire departments in the area using the bags. Other departments will be keeping an eye of how things go.
