North Andover Police Chief Charles Gray said crews were switching to recovery mode after almost three hours of searching, hoping to find his body for the family. He said he doubts the person is still going to be found alive.
"Time is of the essence at this point in time," Gray said. "We are shifting to a recovery at this point, just trying to get as many resources as we can here to get this job done."

The search was called off for the night around 10 p.m. due to low visibility and underwater conditions.
Crews are expected to be back out Friday morning to search for the body, and the victim has yet to be identified.
