BOSTON — Firefighters appeared to evacuate a burning Dorchester building shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Sky 25 was over the building on Washington Street, which firefighters were called to around 9 a.m. in Codman Square.
Smoke poured from the building as crews on ladders shot water down onto the one-story building.

Fire crews initially said smoke was showing from a basement window, but flames eventually broke through the roof.
