LUNENBURG, Mass. — A silo collapsed onto a barn in Lunenburg Sunday morning, trapping several animals inside the structure.
According to Lunenburg Police, the incident happened at around 10:50 a.m. on Cherry Hill Farm.
A silo full of grain collapsed onto the face of the main barn, effectively trapping 13 calves inside. One cow was struck by debris and had to be euthanized by employees before police got there, while 13 cows were rescued in total.

Lunenburg firefighters, the Building Department and the Regional Technical Rescue Team are all assisting in evaluating the building in order to safely remove the animals trapped inside the barn.
The fire department along with the building department are investigating this incident.
