A second COVID-19 related death has been announced in Massachusetts, according to the State’s Department of Public Health. The victim is a Middlesex County woman in her 50s. She had a preexisting health condition prior to her death, per Mass. DPH.

The death is the second announced in as many days after officials confirmed the state’s first COVID-19 fatality in an 87-year-old Winthrop man on Friday. That man also had a pre-existing health condition that had put him at higher risk for COVID-19 before his death.
