Screening held for Boston Marathon bombing documentary at Shubert Theater

BOSTON — A new documentary about the Boston Marathon bombing was screened Tuesday night at the Shubert Theater in Boston.

The film was made as a collaboration between HBO and the Boston Globe, and features real life stories from the survivors of the attack.

The movie follows the day of the bombing, and the following two years until Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was sentenced to death by a jury.

In addition to interviews with survivors, the film’s creators spoke to first responders, investigators, government officials, and reporters who covered the bombing and subsequent trial.

The documentary, titled 'Marathon: The Patriots Day Bombing' will be available for HBO subscribers starting Nov. 21.
