METHUEN, Mass. — A school bus carrying students from Methuen was involved in crash Friday morning while on the way to a field trip, according to Methuen Public Schools Superintedent Brandi Kwong.
The students were from Marsh Grammar School and were headed to Boston for a field trip when their school bus collided with a car in the O'Neill Tunnel.
Emergency crews responded to the scene.
Kwong said there were a few minor injuries.
One student was transported to a local hospital as a precaution, but has already been released and is doing well.
Parents of students who were hurt have been notified.
A parent, who didn’t want to be identified, told Boston 25 News the bus was carrying fifth and sixth grade students.
As soon as the crash scene was cleared, the bus continued to the location of the field trip.
