BOSTON — They say waiting is kind of like watching paint dry. Runner Kyle Sumatzkuku has been waiting two years now to be part of moments like this.
“Just witnessed something so monumental – fresh paint – all and all it’s so unique,” Sumatzkuku said.

Marathon Monday is usually on Patriots’ Day. This year, due to pandemic delays, it will fall on Indigenous Peoples Day instead of Patriots’ Day.
For Sumatzkuku, who is a member of the Hopi tribe in Arizona, that makes his journey all the more special.
“I’m just truly, truly humbled,” Sumatzkuku said.
