MANCHESTER, N.H. — Coffee with Candidates is giving our viewers different insight into the people asking for your vote.

This week, Boston 25 News Anchor Kerry Kavanaugh chats with Democratic Presidential hopeful, Mayor Pete Buttigieg.

Buttigieg, the mayor of South Bend, Indiana, graduated from Harvard and served in the military before entering politics. He was relatively unknown on the national stage at the beginning of just this year. Now, many see the 37-year-old as a rising star in the Democratic Party.

Kavanaugh caught up with ‘Mayor Pete' in late October in Nashua, New Hampshire.

Kavanaugh was at his town hall when he launched a women's empowerment platform that includes policies to address everything from gender pay inequities to women's healthcare.

He has also pledged to create a cabinet that's made up of at least 50 percent women.

But when Kavanaugh sat down with Buttigieg, they talked less about policy and more about who he is and how his candidacy is already making history.
