BOSTON — Boston Police are seeking the public's help in finding a man they say is connected to the kidnapping of a 23-year-old woman.
Authorities say Jassy Correia, 23, was last seen at club Venu in Boston's Theater District late Saturday night or early Sunday morning, and that her phone has been shut off since early Sunday.
Surveillance footage shows Correia was seen in the area of 255 Tremont Street in Boston accompanied by an unknown man at around 12:15 a.m. Sunday.
On Thursday, Boston Police identified that man as 32-year-old Louis D. Coleman III, of Providence, Rhode Island.
According to officials, she was later seen entering a car, believed to be a red Nissan Altima, with Coleman in the area of Tremont and Herald streets.
Boston Police say Coleman was last seen in Providence on Thursday, and are also looking to find the red Nissan they believe he was driving.
Correia was reported missing on Tuesday night by her father and a friend. Her father said he tried to reach her Sunday and her phone was off.
When she was last seen, Correia, who is about 5'7" tall, was wearing big hoop earings, an orange jumpsuit and a jean jacket with red lips and pink wings on the back of it.
Family members say she has a 2-year-old daughter and was living in a shelter in Lynn. Her daughter is with her family right now, but the rest are hoping flyers with information will help spread the word.
"Anybody [who has] seen my daughter or has information, I’m not going to stop the fight," Correia's dad Joaquin said. "When I bring Jassy to this country, she was 3 years old, now she’s 23. I can’t lose Jassy for no reason."
Boston Police Detectives launched an investigation into Correia's whereabouts early Wednesday morning, and police are asking the public to review surveillance video of a person of interest as they search for Correia.
Anyone with information on this missing person is asked to contact Boston Police at 617-343-4275.
