PEMBROKE, Mass. — Police have identified the victim of a Sunday morning crash in Pembroke that killed one and injured four others.
That victim is Nancy Chamberlin, 87, of Quincy, according to State Police. She died after sustaining serious injuries in the crash. Officials at the scene administered life-saving efforts, including CPR, but Chamberlin succumbed to her injuries after being transported to an area hospital.
State Police were alerted to the four-vehicle crash on Route 3 northbound, just before exit 12, around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Four other people were brought to area hospitals in addition to Chamberlin, police said. None had life-threatening injuries, including the driver of the 2017 Volkswagen that Chamberlin was a passenger in.
Route 3 northbound was completely closed off at the scene for nearly two hours, causing heavy traffic delays. Eventually, all lanes were reopened.
State Police were assisted on scene by Pembroke EMS and MassDOT. The crash is currently being investigated.
