HOPKINTON, Mass. — A driver who was pulled from a serious rollover crash on Interstate 495 north in Hopkinton Monday morning has died, state police said.
Police believe the driver, a 23-year-old Medway man, lost control of his 2006 Honda Civic around 5:30 a.m., causing it to roll over and crash into the median just before exit 21. Firefighters pulled the driver from the car, which was submerged in water, and transported him to Milford Hospital, according to a news release from Massachusetts State Police. They later said the man. identified as 23-year-old Ethan Huckins, died at the hospital.

The crash happened before exit 21 around 6 a.m. Sky25 captured an overturned car adjacent to the highway on its roof. Two lanes were closed as crews worked to tow the vehicle out of the water, slowing traffic for miles.

State police said the cause of the crash is under investigation.
