WILMINGTON, Mass. — A man has died after first responders pulled him from Silver Lake in Wilmington Wednesday evening.
Massachusetts State Police tell Boston 25 News the call came in at 5:46 p.m. following reports of a swimmer who never resurfaced.
At the scene, police learned the victim, a 19-year-old man, had gone underwater while swimming and never came back up.
The victim was rushed to Winchester Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
Authorities say foul play is not suspected, and the identity of the victim will not be released yet.
Sky25 saw crews pull a person from the water and rush them into an ambulance just before 6:30 p.m.
There is no word on the age or condition of the person involved.
