A person was killed after a single-car crash on Route 3 in Duxbury, according to the Duxbury Fire Department.
The department told commuters to avoid the northbound side of Route 3 Tuesday evening around 5 p.m. due to the single-car, single-occupant fatal crash.
Duxbury Fire said that the crash happened between Exits 10 and 11, and the victim was identified as 43-year-old Marshfield man Marcos Dossantos.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation said the breakdown lane was open for traffic, but said drivers should expect delays.
Massachusetts State Police said around 8 p.m. that all lanes had been reopened following the crash.
