BOSTON — Two protests are scheduled for Sunday in Boston to honor the life of George Floyd.

One demonstration is set to happen near City Hall at 3 p.m. It’s supposed to be a peaceful protest.

On Friday, protests turned violent after a police station was spray-painted and protesters were pepper-sprayed. Ten people were arrested and four police officers suffered non-life threatening injuries.

On Saturday afternoon, Mayor Marty Walsh hosted a virtual prayer vigil in response to violence and racism across the country. He was joined by Commissioner William Gross and leader’s from the city’s faith community.

They reflected on the murder of Floyd.

A Black Lives Matter march is also planned for 6:30 p.m. in Nubian Square on Sunday.
