Panda twins born in U.S. having trouble adjusting to China

BEIJING — A pair of panda twins born in the U.S. are having a tough time adjusting to their new life in China.

Three-year-old Mei Lun and Mei Huan were transferred from Atlanta to a Chinese research center last month.

But according to the official communist party newspaper, The pandas are not responding to commands that are not in English.

They're also missing their favorite food - the biscuits that they grew up eating in theU.S.  Zoo Atlanta has shipped 25-pounds of biscuits to China to keep the pandas going until they adjust to new food.

A zoo spokesman said the bears will eventually adapt to their new surroundings.
