No injuries reported as car smashes into Brockton restaurant

BROCKTON, Mass. — A driver smashed into the doors of a Brockton restaurant while patrons were eating breakfast Saturday morning.

The Brockton Enterprise reports the Brockton Fire Department said an SUV crashed into Alexander's Restaurant just after 7 a.m., but no injuries were reported.

The SUV had gone straight into the main doors to the restaurant and the building was evacuated.

A building inspector said there was no structural damage to the building itself and the owners said they hoped to reopen later in the day.
