NH inmate walks away from work release assignment, DOC officials say

MANCHESTER, N.H. — A New Hampshire inmate on work release walked away from a transitional house in Manchester Saturday, according to the New Hampshire Department of Corrections.

Thomas Ramirez, 24, didn't return from an outing at 11 p.m. when he was supposed to on Nov. 5.

Ramirez is a white man, about 5-feet 5-inches tall, officials say. He has brown hair, brown eyes and a tatoo on his left arm.

Corrections officials say Ramirez is serving a 1-3 year prison sentence for criminal threatening and has completed 57 days of time served credited to his sentence.

He's eligible for parole on Jan. 23, 2017.

New Hampshire correcitons officials are searching for Ramirez and are asking anyone with information to contact local police.
