QUINCY, Mass. — All four lanes of the new Fore River Bridge in Quincy are officially opened Monday morning just in time for the commute.
The bridge carries vehicles traveling Route 3A over the Fore River in the Quincy-Weymouth area.
Crews are still adding new features to the bridge and are dismantling the old one.
The reopening marks a major milestone – crews finished work on the $244 million project ahead of schedule.
