LOS ANGELES — Lori Loughlin, an actress and former model best known as Rebecca Donaldson on the ABC sitcom "Full House," is among at least 40 people who were charged in a college cheating scheme.
She is charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and wire fraud.
Here are some things to know about Loughlin:
1. She is married to fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli
People reported Loughlin married Mossimo Giannulli in 1997, two years after they met in a Los Angeles restaurant. They eloped rather than have a lavish wedding.
"Moss and I had both been married before, so we thought, 'Well, it didn't really work out well for us the first time around, so maybe we'll elope and see how it goes and tell people,'" Loughlin told Entertainment Tonight. "We had talked about doing a wedding and we just thought, 'Let's get up and let's go do it.'"
2. She is a mother of two
Loughlin has two daughters, 19-year-old Olivia Giannulli and 20-year-old Isabella Giannulli. Isabella Giannulli is an aspiring actress. Olivia Giannulli is a makeup and beauty YouTuber.
3. She allegedly paid $500K to have her daughters admitted to University of Southern California
TMZ reported that Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli are accused of paying $500,000 to have their daughters designated as recruits for USC's crew team. Mossimo Giannulli reportedly sent the school action shots of his daughters, who never participated in crew.
Mossimo Giannulli is also being charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and wire fraud. He was arrested at the couple’s home.
