NASHUA, N.H. — The Nashua Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a missing person last seen early Sunday morning in the city after a night out.
Michael McClain, 29, was last seen at the Tropical Lounge in Nashua when he apparently was involved in an altercation late Saturday night or early Sunday morning.
According to police, he was separated from his friends after the disturbance broke out and was reported missing Monday morning by his roommate when he didn't come home to his apartment in Manchester.
Eyewitnesses told Boston 25 News they last saw McClain inside a McDonalds near the club, apparently waiting for a ride.
"Just bring my baby home, bring my baby home, that’s it," his mother, Paula Judkins, said. "I just want to bring him home, please. Michael is my air, I can’t breathe. I need my baby."
McClain's parents say he has been working with autistic children at the non-profit Easter Seals since he graduated from college.
The family says his disappearance is highly out of character.
"This is a dream, a nightmare," said Edward McClain, Michael's father, about the state the family is in. "And we are just hoping we can wake up from this."
A hope that 29-year-old Michael McClain will suddenly walk through the door more than 72 hours after he vanished.
"I guess an altercation with two women at the club," Edward said of the apparent incident. "Michael tried to break it up because he didn’t feel it was right, it got a little rowdy out there, everyone dispersed."
Michael's family tracked his cell phone to the McDonalds where he was last seen. Along the way, his parents say Michael made a disturbing phone call to his manager.
"Michael called her and said that somebody is chasing him, and he needs help," his mother said.
With few clues, family and friends have canvassed the area handing out fliers and looking for surveillance video, pleading for answers and Michael’s safe return.
Police describe McClain as 5-foot-10 with brown eyes, though he wears green contacts. He also has braided hair and tattoos on his hands and arms.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Nashua Police Department at 603-594-3500.
