Nantucket waiter charged with upskirting

NANTUCKET, Mass. — A waiter on Nantucket has been charged with upskirting, according to Massachusetts State Police.

Three woman told a trooper they saw a man take an “upskirt” picture of a woman on Federal Street Thursday. The woman had taken video and pictures of the suspect.

Later that night, the same trooper saw the suspect waiting tables at a restaurant. He and another trooper interviewed the 30-year-old Nantucket man.

After an investigation, which included looking at pictures taken by the suspect, the troopers arrested him.

The suspect is charged with committing illegal electronic surveillance or video of a nude or partially nude person.

Troopers continued their investigation Monday to determine the scope of the suspect’s crimes.

The suspect was sent to a hospital to be checked out after making suicidal statements.
