NANTUCKET, Mass. (MYFoxBoston.com) - The Nantucket Police Department is seeking the public's assistance to help locate Mary Macy, a 60-year-old Sconset resident suffering from early onset Alzheimer's disease who went missing from her residence on Saturday afternoon.
Mary is approximately 5'7", weighing 150 pounds with shoulder length light brown and gray hair. She has glasses and was last seen wearing dark blue shorts, a dark blue fleece jacket with a hood, white and blue sneakers.
Mary was last seen in Sconset near the area of Milestone Road and New Street.
The Massachusetts State Police Air Wing and K-9 Unit assisted in the search overnight and on Sunday. Police suspended the search at 8 p.m. Sunday, and said 250 volunteers participated in the search.
Although the search concluded, Mary was still missing Sunday.
"Law enforcement officials will continue to formally search for Mary and follow up on any leads as this incident remains an active missing persons investigation," a statement on the police department Facebook page read. "No further public searches are planned at this time."
