All beaches along the south shore of Nantucket are closed Saturday after a confirmed shark sighting, according to the Nantucket Harbormaster.
The following beaches will be closed for at least two hours: Madaket, Cisco, Miacomet, Surfside, Nobadeer, and Sconset.

Nauset Beach and Marconi Beach were both closed for an hour after sharks were seen near each beach on early Saturday afternoon.
A great white shark was also spotted off the coast of Long Nook Beach in Truro, prompting the town to close the beach through 2:15 p.m. on Saturday.
