BELMONT, Mass. — A Belmont police officer was taken to the hospital Monday night after a car crash.
According to the Belmont Police Department, the crash happened on Trapelo Road between Beech Street and White Street.
Trapelo Road was closed for more than an hour for the investigation.
FOX25 has learned the officer was part of the motorcycle unit and was involved in a crash with a car.

The officer was conscious when taken to Mount Auburn Hospital with unknown injuries.
