BOSTON — The second host of a once-top-rated morning sports talk radio show has departed WEEI, according to a tweet.
Gerry Callahan, formerly of the popular Kirk and Callahan show, announced on Twitter that Friday's broadcast was his last with the station.
Well, that was fun. After 20 years in morning drive, I did my last show on WEEI this morning. Thanks to all who listened. Unfortunately, this ain’t a movie. Sometimes the bad guys win. Much more to come.

"This ain't the movies," he said. "Some times the bad guys win."
Minihane departed the show last year, citing 'differences of opinion' with the company. Since then, he has launched a podcast with the controversial Barstool Sports network. Most recently, he has been the target of a lawsuit from Somerville's mayor.
Kirk and Callahan would routinely host Monday morning chats with Tom Brady during the Patriots' season.
Boston 25 News has reached out to WEEI for a statement, we had not heard back at the time of this posting.
