Missing Townsend woman found unharmed in Boston

(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – Amanda Dold, the 23-year-old Townsend woman who was reported missing on Aug. 22, was located in Boston on Wednesday morning.

Dold was picked up by police and held on a warrant of apprehension. She is in the process of being returned by Townsend Police to Ayer District Court for a hearing.

Townsend Police began tracking a cell phone that they suspected Dold was using.  Boston Police saturated the area Wednesday morning where it was believed that the calls were coming from.  She was picked up a short time thereafter.

According to police, a female claiming to be Dold contacted Townsend Police on Tuesday to say that she was fine, but she was reluctant to give her location. She stated that she had been receiving information from people that she was being sought after watching and reading news reports.

Dold's mother told FOX 25 that her daughter was last seen leaving Boston Medical Center on Harrison Avenue during the early morning hours of August 16.
