MBTA installs new recycling kiosks

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) - One MBTA station is going a little greener Wednesday.

As part of a pilot program Mass Recycle designed, officials unveiled two 7-foot recycling kiosks at the Alewife T stop. The goal of the program is to reduce litter and increase recycling efforts at MBTA stations.

The kiosks list the types of items that can be recycled, which includes paper products, bottles and cans.

Mass Recycle tweeted that more than 11,000 people visit the Alewife Station every day.
