BOSTON — Investigators are working to figure out how both Worcester parents of a celebrity ended up dead. Alicia Witt’s parents were found Monday in their Worcester home. Witt is known for her roles in hits like “Nashville” and “Twin Peaks”.

The medical examiner will conclude the exact cause of death. But 25 Investigates has learned hypothermia may have been a factor.

Worcester police say both Robert and Diane Witt were found dead inside their Sussex Lane home. Their daughter is actress, singer/songwriter Alicia Witt pictured here on her Facebook page. She has had roles in hits like Sopranos, Twin Peaks, and Nashville. Neighbors who did not want to appear on camera told Boston 25 News that Witt’s parents were older and dealing with medical issues. “He had cancer she was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. She was a frail little thing, a good wind would blow her away,” a neighbor said.

Worcester Police are investigating the cause of death. Worcester Fire Acting Deputy Chief Adam Roche told us they did check for carbon monoxide. “We did use our meter and search for Carbon monoxide. All the readings were normal so ruled out Carbon monoxide,” said Roche.

25 Investigates has learned authorities suspect hypothermia and that one of the victims was found wearing a coat. Neighbors say they did not hear about any heating issues at the home and two neighbors told Boston 25 News they saw an oil truck recently making a delivery. The neighbors say their celebrity daughter was a big part of their lives. “Alicia was very much in touch with them and when she was around in this area she would come or send a car to take them,” said a neighbor.

Police did say they do not suspect any foul play. Worcester telling us they do have multiple programs for people who get into trouble with no heat but again it is unclear if the couple was having any sort of heating problems.
