A 27-year-old Attleboro woman was arrested by Braintree and Mass. State Police for accessory after the fact of the murder of Dijoun Beasley, according to DA Morrissey.
Samantha Schwarts was taken into custody Thursday afternoon in Quincy. Schwarts entered a plea of not guilty at her arraignment Friday morning in Quincy District Court. D.A. Morrissey said this charge is pertaining to actions she took last weekend during the shooting at the South Shore Plaza in Braintree.
Judge Flynn imposed a $20,000 cash bail and declined GPS monitoring. However, ADA Yas argued for a higher bail by citing Schwartz’s actions in the five days following the shooting, during which she didn’t go home, changed her location repeatedly, and prior history of defaulting on court dates.
Schwartz will return to court on February 18 for a probable cause hearing.
