The 27-year-old Massachusetts woman awaiting her second heart and kidney transplant got her wish to meet New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski.

Lauren Meizo has been at Brigham & Women’s Hospital for nearly three months while waiting for her new organs.

Meizo posted a video that her only wish was to meet Gronk. Her plea went viral.

Her wish came true on Monday when the star tight end stopped by the hospital to wish her well.

"My nerves were like gone in like five minutes. It was like hanging out with a buddy, like i don't think he gets enough credit for really how much how down to earth he truly is," she told Boston 25 News after the visit.

Lauren has been dealing with health problems since the age of 10, and her struggles are far from over. This will be her second heart transplant in five years.

"The next step is just waiting for the right donor. I’m at the top of the list, so it's just the matter of finding a heart and a kidney that will work for me," she said.

She said every little bit of encouragement helps, including the kind words from Gronk.

"Is this what the doctor ordered? The doctor ordered selfies," he said. "Very nice to meet you stay strong."

A GoFundMe account has been created in Lauren's name to help with the cost of her medical and living expenses.
