BOSTON — With its potential for pain management and indications that cannabis can be used to treat a range of conditions from epilepsy to post-traumatic stress, there’s a hope it could now be aimed at the opioid crisis.
For years teenagers were warned marijuana was a gateway drug that would lead to the abuse of heavier substances, but with mounting evidence of its medical benefits -- some are now calling it the exit drug.
