MANCHESTER, N.H. — Manchester West High School was evacuated Friday around noon due to "chemical odors," according to the police department.
Officials told FOX25 custodians had started working on the gym floor using a chemical that could be smelled throughout the school.
Because of the school's poor ventilation, students reported getting nauseated and headaches, prompting the evacuation.
Ambulances showed up at the school to offer assistance and the school was evacuated until the odor could be cleared. Some students were reportedly treated at the school.
Police did not know exactly how long the evacuation would last.
