The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Warning for Manchester, New Hampshire until 8:30 p.m. Friday, and driver after driver had to be rescued from the rising waters during their nightly commute.
Several cars had to be towed from streets in both Manchester and Lee, New Hampshire, and flash flooding left a stretch of Beech Street under water in Manchester.
As some drivers tried to get past the obstacle, their cars ended up stuck in some areas, with water at waist-high levels.
Not far from the flooding, firefighters responded to a small fire in the roof of a barn on Union Street, which they believe was caused by a lightning strike.
In the end, there were no reports of serious damage in Manchester.
