A man was transported to the hospital after a fire pit incident in Sandwich, the town's fire department said.
The Sandwich Fire Department tweeted that the man was taken from his Forestdale home to Forestdale School to meet MedFlight, before being taken to Boston for treatment.

The department first tweeted about the incident around 2:40 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
