BOSTON — Firefighters say a man has died after a two-alarm fire on Catawba Street in Roxbury Thursday morning.
The Boston Fire Department said in a tweet that heavy fire was showing from the third floor when they arrived around 1:30 a.m.
Five other people made it out of the building safely, according to a tweet at 4:05 a.m. About an hour later, after investigators searched the building, they confirmed in another tweet that an adult male had died in the fire. Officials have not yet released the man's name; his cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner. A detection dog was also at the scene assisting investigators.
