NEWTON, NH — A man died in New Hampshire on Sunday after he was hit by an Amtrak train in Newton, N.H.
Amtrak officials tell Boston 25 News that shortly before 6 p.m. on Sunday a Downeaster train coming from Maine hit the man’s car in Newton Junction.
Following the investigation by local authorities, train 696 continued on its scheduled trip.

About 150 passengers were on board at the time, though officials say no one on board was injured.
