DOVER, N.H. — A man accused of killing his wife and father in Dover, New Hampshire is being held without bail.
The New Hampshire Attorney General said 44-year-old Jeramie Colella is charged with two counts of second-degree murder for the deaths of his wife, Joanna Colella, 43, and his 69-year-old father, Francis Colella.
The bodies were discovered Monday morning in Jeramie and Joanna's condo at 18 Tideview Drive, in Dover. Investigators say Jeramie's father, Francis, was staying with the couple.
Autopsies are pending and no cause of death has been released for either Joanna or Francis.
"It's unsettling a little, it's sad," Kristin Valdez, a neighbor, said. "Not quite sure what exactly happened."
The deaths had been described as suspicious by the New Hampshire AG's office, with police investigating throughout the day on Monday.
Sandra Melo, a neighbor, said that the couple kept to themselves when they were in the area.
"Stuns a neighborhood like this," Melo said. "Hard to believe. I see that couple, I just say hi to them. They were kind of private."
Police told one resident that there wasn't any need for concern, but did tell the resident that the situation "is very bad."
The investigation is ongoing and Assistant New Hampshire Attorney General John Kennedy said authorities are still looking for more information after the deaths.
"We would ask anybody, especially in that Tideview Estates area, if they saw or heard anything from anybody in that number 18, if they would contact Dover Police," Kennedy said. "We are still trying to put together a timeline."
