CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — A man has been arrested after a friendly discussion turned into an attack in Cambridge.
Police say a 66-year-old woman was walking down a Cambridge street with someone when they began talking with 62-year-old Jarrett Benjamin Harris about the architecture of the building.
The conversation started off friendly until the two people started to leave. That's when police say Harris ran after them yelling "You [expletive] Jewish [expletive]. She is an [expletive] Jewish [expletive]." Harris then allegedly pushed the woman up against a wall and held his fists to her throat.
The woman was reportedly uninjured.
Boston 25 News reporter Robert Goulston went to get Harris' side of the story, but he only told us "I don't give a [expletive] about anything."
Neighbors in the building say they have complained to management about Harris before. We reached out to building management, but are waiting to hear back.
Harris was in court Thursday for assault and battery on someone over 60 and a hate crime due to the anti-Semitic remarks. He was released without any bail set and will be back in court later this month.
