Man arrested in connection to fatal Brockton shooting

BROCKTON, Mass. — Brockton officials have arrested and charged a man in connection to the shooting death of a 21-year-old in Brockton, according to Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz.

Andrew Tymek, 21, of Brockton, has been charged with one count of murder for allegedly shooting Anthony Baker to death.

The shooting in question happened on Friday, just past 6:00 p.m. Brockton Police received multiple 911 calls for reports of a shooting on Arthur Street.

Police found Baker suffering from gunshot wounds and lying unresponsive in the street. He was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Tymek is scheduled to be arraigned at Brockton District Court on Monday.
