DEDHAM, Mass. — The Boston 25 Weather team is continuing to track a winter storm system that could bring snow to Massachusetts on Saturday.
As of Thursday, the main storm appeared to be trending too far south of the region for substantial snow in southern New England, Boston 25 Meteorologist Shiri Spear said in her latest forecast.
“The main storm itself looks to track too far south to bring in any substantial snow,” Spear said. “This is several days away and there’s still a chance it could jog a little further north.”
The approaching system will likely trigger widespread light snow on Saturday morning or midday. Between a coating to 2 inches of snowfall is possible in the Bay State.
Spear noted that higher totals are possible over Cape Cod, the Islands, and southeastern Massachusetts if the storm tracks further north.
