BOSTON — A large crowd queued in the Seaport Saturday to meet a local star.
Mark Wahlberg was back in the area, hosting a meet and greet at a pop-up shop for his Munipical clothing brand.
“We saw the line and we came in to say hi, and we love Mark Wahlberg,” said Caitlin Clayton.
“We were like ‘why is everybody waiting line?’ and we asked and were like, " oh my gosh, we have to stay for this, right... you gotta pinch yourself,” said Kevin and Barbara O’Neill.
Municipal sells clothes for both men and women.
“You know a lot of people know the brand, are aware of it, but to feel the product to be able to touch it, feel it before they purchase it, it’s cool so we want to kind of establish it and then we’ll be coming here very soon.”
Boston Celtics forward Grant Williams also made an appearance.
“Good friend, even better person, in terms of like the work that he’s doing him being back in the community you know it’s great to see him and I wanted to be able to show up and show up and show some love to Municipal.”
Wahlberg also informed Boston 25 new reporter Julianne Lima that the station still owes him.
“Now I did win a contest on Channel 25,” said Wahlberg. “I don’t know it was a Flintstones contest, and I didn’t get my prize.”
