SAUGUS, Mass. — Wrestling icon John Cena surprised Kowloon restaurant with autographed sneakers and a handwritten note.
Kowloon posted the “surprise delivery” to their Facebook Page on Tuesday, thanking the West Newbury, Massachusetts, celebrity.
The famous restaurant in Saugus teamed up with a local artist to design these hand-painted Nike sneakers to raise money for charity.
Sway from Blueswaydshowes used an airbrush technique to design 100 limited-edition pairs of sneakers that showcase the Kowloon logo in gold, red, and black.
Well, it turns out, Cena purchased the sneakers for $495 and wore them during his appearance at WrestleMania 39 earlier this month before he regifted the pair to the restaurant with his signature.
“Andy, you are one of a kind! Thank you for all you do,” Cena wrote in an attached letter.
The WWE legend even included a picture of him holding the signed sneakers backstage.
