BOSTON — A woman has been arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing at a Boston park.
According to Boston police, around 12:48 p.m. on November 16, officers responded to a radio call for a person stabbed at Ramsey Park, located at 1917 Washington St, in Boston.
Upon arrival, officers found Celia Simmons, 65, of Boston, suffering from multiple stab wounds. EMS transported her to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries where she was later pronounced dead.
On Friday, December 20 around 4:45 p.m. officers arrested Rasheedah Hughes, 40, of Boston, in the area of Hammond Street on an outstanding warrant issued out of Roxbury District Court for the alleged murder of Simmons.
Hughes is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on Monday, December 23.
